Newly moved to the area and was in desperate need of several trees, bushes to be pruned back as they were much too high for me to tackle. Stuart replied quickly and came round the same afternoon to give me a quote. The job was done professionally and to a high standard and removing all cuttings, so happy to recommend Stuart who was very polite and I’ll be using them regularly from now on.

In a very tricky location overhanging a busy street the tree was carefully and safely dealt with and the site was left incredibly tidy. Great to have the sun beaming into our lounge again!

The company was employed to remove a large hedge which had died around our garden. They arrived punctually and completed the job in the stated time. Their work ethic was very caring not only for our property but for any wildlife that could have been still nesting. Friendly, cleaned up after themselves and very considerate. Oliver was the most knowledgable, professional & fairly-priced arborist that we had quote for pollarding two large sycamores. He spotted severe rot to one of the trees & gave us several options to deal with it. When he & his team came to do the work – the were friendly & efficient and completed the job to a high standard, we would highly recommend.

We initially had a few quotes for pruning a stand of trees which spanned our back garden and a few trees in the front area of our property. Firstly their quote was competitive, but what we found equally important was getting the right advice as we wanted to ensure the rows of trees still had some height as this enabled a boundary and privacy. We simply needed the right advice as we didi not just want all the trees chopped down with no privacy.

When Oliver and Stuart looked at what we wanted they looked at the situation and advised to only prune the front trees and keep the back row of trees as distinct from pruning all of them. This was the right advice as it still afforded us privacy, but it also allowed more light to enter our garden which has the added benefit of allowing better growth of plants as there is now more light. In fact it has opened up the space in the garden and gives it a totally different feel. So no more overhang from the stand of willow trees with small branches breaking off in the wind littering the garden.

The crew from Coast & Country were extremely professional, they spent nearly two days getting the job done, tidied up all the debris and took everything away, plus they were able to give us a recommendation and referral for someone to do much needed landscaping work, given how boggy the gardens are here in South Molton.

Hedge removal. I had a thick leylandii (60ft long, 10ft high and 4 ft wide) hedge to remove, as it was just too hard to maintain due to my age. In addition patches were dying off. The Coast & Country team did a sterling job, arriving at 08:30 and finishing by 14:00. Cutting the 20 tree trunks, shedding all the foliage, removing two truck loads and did a great job of tidying up. All this in very rainy and windy weather, as Storm Amy was starting to hit Barnstaple. An excellent job and I can highly recommend them.
